HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Well, Halloween is over.... we had a final count of 293 trick or treaters! We probably would have reached 300, but had to turn our lights out because KaeLee had to go to bed. A doorbell ringing every 3 seconds probably would have hindered her sleep....! We carved pumpkins today (yes, today.... it's been a very busy week!) We barely got them out on the porch before the trick or treaters started flowing in. They started at 5:30.... turned our lights off at 9, though it started to slow way down at about 7. My brother and sister-in-law stopped by with Jake... he was dressed up as a cowboy... not too surprisingly... ;)

I have a wonderful smell going throughout the house right now..... YUMMY! I have pumpkin seeds roasting away! I couldn't wait till tomorrow to make them, so I am trying to stay up until they are done tonight! Although, now I will want to stay up and eat them all tonight! Hahaha

Here are some pictures from today... KaeLee was so cute as a little butterfly! Even though she didn't go trick or treating, she got a lot of people commenting on her! Tonight is Daylight savings.... which mean KaeLee is going to wake us up super early in the morning! So much for getting to sleep in on the weekend! Shawn blew out our sprinklers today... can't believe it's already that time of year... or that tomorrow is November! Wow! Time is flying! Thanksgiving is in only 3 weeks! Which must mean Christmas is in 7?!?!? Wow!

I got a little further on clearing out the guest room today... it's looking much better, but still has a long way to go! Other than that, nothing else too exciting happened this week. KaeLee is getting super big and super smart! She is getting so good at clapping and saying Hi, Mama, and Dadda. She is quite the lover and loves to kiss all her toys and every page of her books when you read to her! It's a rare occasion if she kisses an actual person (except for me.... apparently my skin tastes good.... haha) We are sure loving watching her grow and learn new things! Oh, and she has also starting pointing at things quite a bit too. It's so cute! Well, enjoy the pictures.... I'm gonna go check on my seeds!

KaeLee on the pile of candy pre-trick or treaters.... we maybe had about 40 pieces left at the end of the night. (this is 5 bags of Costco candy!)

Me sorting my seeds out!

Pumpkin Pictures!

Here are the pictures from the pumkin patch yesterday. KaeLee cracks me up how chubby she looks! When really, she's tiny! Hahaha! I got lucky with a bit of a smile on the pumpkins... she never has any facial expressions when she's outside!

Also, I posted a new poll to see what you all think of of middle name ideas. Our next girl will be Hannah, but we are not agreeing very well with the middle name. So we're putting up a poll to see what you guys think without knowing which one of us like which name. haha.... in case that would sway your vote! :)

Me, Shawn and KaeLee

KaeLee in front ofhe cornmaze... shegot qite a bumpy ride through that thing!

KaeLee in the pile of pumpkins!

Boy, am I exhausted!

What a very busy weekend we had! On Saturday, Sue and Loretta came over and we hung out and played with KaeLee. We went to dinner Saturday night at the Powerhouse Grill. Shawn has been there before, but I never have and have been wanting to try it. We put KaeLee in the highchair on the end of the table (we were sitting at a booth) and the hostess came over and started passing out waters. Well, the waters spilt on her tray, and then all the water came gushing down over top of KaeLee. Poor girl, got covered in ice and ice cold water! She was quite shocked at first, then cried, of course. So I had to change her soaking clothes and convince her that the high chair was safe again. She was quite a champ through it all though. The poor hostess felt really bad and apologized a million times. The way I look at it is that at least it wasn't coffee (which was coming out next) or at least the actual glass didn't fall on her and break over the top of her head. It definitely could have been MUCH worse. But still.... the poor girl! :(

Sunday, we went to the church breakfast and bazaar down the block with my parents and Sue and Loretta. I won a turkey! Well, my dad had bought the raffle ticket, then stuck it in front of me. Why on earth do I need a turkey? I have no idea! I have never cooked a turkey in my life and have never really had the desire to! Gee, thanks for the Turkey dad! He won the very first turkey raffled off. My Grandpa bought raffle tickets almost every drawing and he still hadn't won a turkey when we left.... wonder if he ever got lucky?

After the bazaar, we went back to the house to let KaeLee finish her nap and then we headed to the pumpkin patch. It was quite disappointing. Not what I would have expected, but we had an okay time I think. We went through the corn maze (very long and tough to push KaeLee's stroller through). We did pretty good in it, getting turned around only once or twice. We picked out our pumpkins and got a couple of good pictures. KaeLee had pretty much NO facial expression the whole time. I really don't think she enjoys being outside a whole lot. She was like that all summer in the heat, and now in winter with the cold! She was all bundled up and looks quite chubby in her pictures. I'll have to post them later.... I'm at work right now.

After the pumpkin patch, we went to Pizza Hut for a late lunch. Yummy! Then headed home for KaeLee's second nap. When she got up from this nap, she was not feeling very good at all. She had started coughing Saturday night, and I could tell by this time yesterday that she was not herself. So the next few hours after nap were hard, then it was bedtime. She woke up at 3:15 this morning, coughing a lot and whimpering. Poor thing. She was back in bed when I left at 5, but I don't think she was quite asleep. So Shawn got the pleasure of an early morning with me this morning. She goes in for her 9 month appointment tomorrow morning, so I'm not too worried.

Speaking of which.... Happy Birthday to KaeLee today! She is 9 months old! WOW! She is getting so big and has started to add the word Momma to her vocabulary! YAY!! She is just so cute, sometimes I don't know what to do with her! (and of course, other times, she is so difficult, I don't know what to do with her!) haha

Well, this week isn't too busy for me. Shawn is flying down to LA on Wednesday for the day for work and may have to go to Seattle one day for some meetings. I only work today, Thursday and Friday. We have to carve pumpkins one night this week too, so I can get some pumpkin seeds roasting! YAY! Then Saturday, we'll dress up our little butterfly and hit a couple of houses (family and nearby friends) and then stay at home to pass out candy! So far, living in this house, our record is 280 trick-or-treators.... so we'll see what is this year. I have a feeling they are going to start super early since it's a Saturday. I have already been told that a couple of friends' kids will be by at about 3:30.... oh boy!

Well, have a great week everyone.... the last week of October! It will be November by the next time I post, probably.... unless something really eventful happens (oh, and except for posting the pictures). Anyway, I'll write again soon.....

PRAISE THE LORD!

PRAISE THE LORD! Trayline FINALLY got over at 6:20! (It's normal end time is 5:30-5:40!) I finally get to go home!! Whoo-Hoo!! I'm exhausted.... hope Shawn made some dinner.... otherwise it's leftovers tonight... I definitely don't feel like cooking!

End my MISERY!

Oh my GOSH!!! I am here at work.... I only have an hour left. I am so wanting to strangle everyone on trayline right now!! They are normally done with dinner trays by now, and they are only half way through!! Whoever decided to schedule ALL new people on the line tonight should be fired! haha, okay, not really, but they should really not be allowed to write the schedule anymore! I can't do my job because they don't know what their jobs are and so I am basically directing everyone what to do and it is going SO slow!! Poor Chris (she's the cook tonight). She is the only one who has done this longer than a week and I can tell she's getting frustrated too.

AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Just had to vent a bit....

WHAT A WEEK!!

Oh, my, it's been an interesting and eventful week! Shawn, especially, has had a not-so-fun one. Monday was an EXCELLENT day! That was the best day ever in a VERY long time with KaeLee! She was perfect angel all day, which gave mommy a much needed break considering how she was over the weekend! I also had my OB appointment and he said everything from the ultrasound was great and he is keeping the due date the same. March 8th. Yay! (though I wouldn't have minded if he moved it up a few months.... haha)

Tuesday, Shawn and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary! We both had to work, then KaeLee and I went to my little brother, Konner's, cross country meet. He got 3rd! Yay! We barely made it in time. In fact, we were late for the start of it, but he ended up running by the car as I was putting KaeLee in the stroller, so we were able to cheer for him, then meet up with the crowd to cheer for him for the last part of the race. Then, my mom and dad watched KaeLee and Shawn and I went out to dinner. He had been craving Chinese food for about a month, so we went to the Golden Moon. I love their food! Yummy! Their portion sizes are ginormous though and we had tons of leftovers! We were going to go to a movie, but didn't get to dinner in time, so we ended up renting The Proposal and watched that at home. Then went and got KaeLee and went to bed. I started falling asleep during the movie.... it had been a very long day, being up since 4!

Wenesday, Shawn was to pick up a dresser/changing table that we bought on Craigslist. He got to his truck to drive it to work that morning, and it had a major oil leak underneath and was not able to drive it. Did not put either of us in a good mood since we just spent a fortune "fixing" his truck. So he had to borrow my dad's truck that night to go get it. I'm so glad we found the dresser/changing table! I absolutely LOVE it! It's super heavy though.... not sure how we're going to get it upstairs!

Speaking of upstairs.... what a mess!! I am trying to clear out the guest room and combine the stuff in there with the office, so Hannah has a room.... and OH MY! It's quite the chore! Anybody need any gift bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, or gift boxes??? That's what the closet is mainly filled with and I am trying to organize it and purge half of it! There's so much in there!

Thursday, Shawn had to lay off 2 people at work, which is never easy for him. And he also had a mold break on him, which he's not too happy about! But we finally got Halloween decorations up! Now we just need to go the pumpkin patch and get some pumpkins carved! YAY for roasted pumpkin seeds! I can't wait!! Jon and Sue are coming over tomorrow for the weekend... perhaps we will go the pumpkin patch then...?

Today, I am supposed to work, but haven't gone in yet. Supposed to be there at 10. I'm waiting to ensure Shawn will have a vehicle to drive or if I need to go rescue him! Shawn was headed to Seattle this morning and his car went kaputz on him. He got stuck in Ellensburg and is now waiting for his alternator to be fixed. AWESOME!!! I am so excited that we get to spend another $450 on a towing and repair bill!! At this rate, Hannah's room is not going to have anything in it, because every time I get money transferred into savings (like I did this morning with my paycheck), it has to come right back out because of things like this! Ugh! First his truck, then his truck again.... then our credit card fraud we're stuck with (another thing that happened this week), and now this. I've decided I hate money! There's never enough of it and it's impossible to save lately! It was so much easier to save last year when we had no car payments and I was working full time without daycare and doctor bills! (yes, we are still paying for KaeLee's birth!) Christmas might have to be a bit scarce this year. *SIGH* owell. I'm sure it will all work out just fine. At least we don't have 1000's of dollars in credit card debt, behind on our bills, or losing our house.... so things could definitely be much worse!

Anyway, on the up side..... well, actually, there's not that much to report. Jon and Sue are coming over for the weekend, so we are looking forward to that. And Kory come home tonight for the weekend too, so we're looking forward to seeing him. The first time we'll see him since he's been at school. KaeLee has her 9 month doctor appointment on Tuesday and has to get her shots! :( poor thing! I have to start wearing a mask at work apparently, since I refused to get the flu shot... haha. I think that's jsut ridiculous that they are forcing us to get a flu shot! I work in a tiny little office, talking on the phone all day! For cryin out loud! Whatever. Being the stubborn person I am, I am rebelling against them and refusing! I've never gotten flu shot before and I'm not gonna start just because someone is telling me to! Yes, I am very hard headed, but so be it!

Oh, yeah, Tara and Craig are officially moved out as of Tuesday! We have a new neighbor. It's actually the father of some girls I went to school with. He owns a million orchards here around the valley. He and his wife finally split up (I say finally since he's been cheating on her for about 5 years!) Anyway, so it'll be interesting having him as a neighbor! He's a really nice guy and all and has done a lot for the East Valley community, but he's calling the house his bachelor pad and I have a feeling he'll be partying it up quite often. With people my age. yuk. We'll see.

Here are some new pictures, too, since I haven't posted any in a while. Enjoy!

A happy KaeLee after her nap!

I was doing laundry one night, and she got a hold of one of my socks (yes! it's clean!) and she started crawling all around the house with it is her mouth, much like a dog! It was hilarious because if she dropped it, she would bend over and pick it up with her mouth! haha! She crack me up!

A silly girl on the move!

KaeLee and Daddy (she doesn't look quite as happy as daddy! haha)

A picture with mommy! Still no smile!

This is KaeLee making a very big mess! I let her have one cupboard... the one with all her bottles and snack holders and breastmilk containers. She loves to make a mess of it!

Again, making a mess

Learned a VALUABLE lesson yesterday!

So.... I made it through Friday alive.... barely! What a day! I honestly think Friday was the hardest day ever since she's been born! I've decided that I like it much better when she's healthy, happy and well-rested!! hahaha!

Yesterday my mom and I made the trek up to North Bend to go to the outlet stores. I learned a very valuable lesson.... I will NEVER forget the stroller again!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! It was HORRIBLE! I thought my back hurt yesterday, but today is 10 times worse! She is SO heavy! We had to take turns lugging her around and she was a trooper even though I know she was tired of being carried and just wanted to get down and crawl or get down and stretch out. And then it was nap time and she was so tired, but couldn't really sleep in our arms. I was going to just buy a stupid stroller so I didn't have to carry her, but there is no where in North Bend to purchase a stroller! CRAZY!! And then, I was going to break down and rent one of those filthy strollers, but they only had one that they rent out and it was being used. Ugh! And on top of it all, every time we wanted to run to the car to drop off another load of bags, it was downpouring! haha. Other than that, we found some great deals and I found a coat for both KaeLee and I! Whoo-Hoo! :) And I found a couple of Christmas gifts.... yay!

Last night, all 5 of my aunts on the Sauve side, my mom, and a couple of my cousins went out to dinner and then back to my aunts for drinks and some Apples to Apples. It was quite fun. I haven't played that game in a while and really love it! I was up way past my bedtime, that's for sure, but it was well worth it!

Today, Shawn comes home from hunting.... not till tonight, but KaeLee is going to be way excited! This morning, when I got her up, I brought her back to bed with me for a few minutes (as I always do until her bottle is warm) and she kept going over to Shawn's side of the bed and looking around for him. I would say "where's Da-Da??" and she would strain her neck around the corner, looking into the bathroom, like she was waiting for him to come out. then she'd look to the bedroom door, then back at me. I can tell she misses him, that's for she. Me too! I could definitely use a KaeLee break!

I have an appointment tomorrow with Dr. Harrington (my OB) I am excited! He will tell me if my due date is the same and if all looked well with my ultrasound. I also have Hayden tomorrow... another week begins.... where does time go?? I sure don't know... it feels like I have so much I need and want to do.... my list just keeps growing without anything being crossed off! I have no idea when I'll have time to get even half of it done! Well, I guess I can go start at least one of them while KaeLee is napping now.... (though I'd rather take a shower! haha!) We'll talk to y'all soon! Have a good Sunday and a great new week!

Sing your Praise to the Lord!

PRAISE THE LORD!! KaeLee is finally down for a nap..... after an hour and a half battle! UGH! I could really use a drink right about now!! (Funny, since I've never drank before.... but that's just how my morning is going....) Can I PLEASE take a shower now?!?! All I gotta say is that she better sleep til at least 1:00 and wake up a happier girl!

Got a sickie on my hands...

Well, I have the day off. Wasn't supposed to, but thanks to KaeLee, I don't have to go to work today! (Or pay for daycare!) Yesterday the daycare called me and said when she got up from her nap she had a fever of 104 under one arm and 102 under the other. So I called Shawn to tell him and he sounded awfully busy, so I had to be the one to leave work to get her. Luckily Shayna was home and came out to cover the rest of my shift.

She fell asleep on the way home and when she woke up, I gave her some tylenol and some fluids and after a while her temp came down to 99.5. It was down to normal by bedtime and she slept till 8:30 this morning! I think she is still feeling icky though. She's very whiny and fussy and not wanting to eat much. But no fever. Quite the runny nose too! And putting her down for a nap this morning has seemed near impossible even though I know she's very tired! She's upstairs right now playing in her crib and shaking the side railing. Hopefully this is not how the whole weekend will be!

Shawn leaves for hunting this afternoon. Maybe when he comes home to pack before leaving I can get a shower in... boy do I feel icky!! And now I am covered in KaeLee's dried snot.... icky.

I was hoping to go to the big baby consignment sale today, but not sure that wil happen if KaeLee continues her day as it's going now. Hopefully she's better for tomorrow so my mom and I can go to North Bend!

Anyway, thought I'd share the update of the week.... nothing else too eventful. I guess I will try and get KaeLee back to sleep for the 3rd time. *****SIGH***** Maybe Shawn should stay home with her all weekend and I'll go hunting.... hahaha Well, have a good weekend, I'm sure I'll write soon with another boring update.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well, it's official! We're having another girl! YAY!! I get my purple nursery this time! :) The ultrasound went well.... though I was in major pain the first half since they make you drink a ton of water and then won't let you go to the bathroom for three hours! UGH! It was awful! The ultrasound tech can't really tell us much except for the sex of the baby, so we'll have to wait until Monday when I have my OB appointment, but it looked like everything was good.

And as for the name...... we believe we have agreed on Hannah Hope. I've have always loved this name, but Shawn not so much.... but today he randomly says he likes it.... so we'll see how long that lasts. Hahaha. Our back up name is AshLee with a middle name of either Ann or Rae.

On a side note, our neighbors sold their house. It didn't take long at all! We will be having new neighbors by Halloween! That's crazy! Kinda sad really....

Well, it's time to go find something to make for dinner.... we'll talk to you all later!!

Some New Pictures!

Hello, Hello, Hello! It's been a while.... I have some pictures to post. The first one you may need to shield your eyes from.... it's is rather disturbing and odd according to Shawn. My belly has definitely been growing.... in fact, compared to how little I showed in the beginning with KaeLee, I look like I am about a month and a half further along than I am! Well, supposedly, you show faster with your second and third (and so on) than you do with the first. I don't think the extra 25 pounds on my initial pre-prego weight has anything to do with it....... ;) Anyway, the first picture is a picture of my baby "bulge" as I call it. (it's definitely not a bump!) It looks quite odd. It's all in the middle of my stomach and sticks out all funny lookin.....

The other pictures are of KaeLee and Hayden playing together. They are able to play pretty good together now. Hayden still cries randomly for who knows why, but she's getting better. That little tent was a great find at a yard sale for $3!! Whoo-Hoo! I'm glad they like it.

KaeLee is getting to be a fast crawler now and is cruising right along. She is also loving the fact that she can pull herself up! I know that it won't be too long before she's walking along things. Right now it can get pretty annoying when she pulls herself up to a toy or the couch or whatever it is, then she is done playing with it and wants to move, but she can't get back down! It's funny, but annoying, because she just looks at you, sticks her lip out and whines until you help her down. I try to tell her that she can just sit down..... her butt really isn't that far from the ground..... haha.... but she doesn't seem to listen! :) She has also discovered a walk behind toy that I bought at a yard sale a while back for her. I had it set aside in the laundry room for when she's ready for it and she discovered it on her own today and has apparently been walking behind it all day.... (I was at work and only got to see a glimpse of the action this evening...) I wanted to take a video of it and post it, but she was a pretty tired girl and wasn't walking behind it for too long of time periods. But Shawn said she was quite the cruiser with it today.

I applied for a new job yesterday. I don't any expectations at all of even getting a call back about it, but I thought I'd apply anyway. It's a Food Service Director Position at the Yakima School District. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to apply for it.... this exact position is the reason I got the degree I did in school! It's the ultimate position for me! I didn't really imagine myself applying for it or "going" for it until all of our kids were in school, but if I happen (by mere grace of God) to land this job, it must be "meant to be". I have the education they want for the position, but I don't have all the experience that they are looking for, so I think the only way I will even get looked at is if no one else applies for it! But my Food Service Director at the hospital is behind me 100% in applying for it and even wrote one of my letters of recommendation for me. So I guess we'll just keep our fingers crossed and see where it takes me.

This week is a busy one! (Didn't I say that about this last week.... sigh.....) Monday, of course, is our ultrasound!!!! YAY!!!! We will be sure to call at least all the grandparents before I post the news.... I have Hayden on Monday and Tuesday, work the other 3 days, then Shawn leaves Friday for the annual hunting trip with the Sauve's. The guys all look forward to it every year. I'm pretty sure no one actually really hunts, they just have a "guy's weekend"....... they seem to be pretty secretive about what happened every year. The women all usually get together ad do something "girly". I know one of the days my mom and I are going to take a trip somewhere and do some shopping. I'm thinking North Bend Outlets.... she had more of a Spokane train of thought..... I guess we'll have to see. Spokane is quite the drive though.....

I think that's about all to report... nothing else too new.... except my work is trying to force everyone into getting the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 flu shot. I am so not for this! I know, I know, I'm pregnant..... blah blah blah..... but I have never had a flu shot in my life, and don't really plan on it. And after doing more research on it, I just don't agree that it would be safe for a pregnant woman. There are a million and one reasons I feel this way and won't bore you with them, but just letting you know my opinion of this silly demand my work is having..... I work in an office by myself, for crying out loud!! I am not going to spread the virus to the patients over the phone! hahaha....

Anyway, enjoy the pictures, and again, Shawn says to warn you about the first one.... ;)

PS: Barack winning the Nobel Peace Prize is a bunch of crock! My jaw is still on the floor and my mind is more confused than ever about other people's thought process on these things!

The baby "bulge"

A little blurry but still cute!

What's on my head!?!?!

That;s not very lady like, but it sure is very cute!

This was the best $4 spent at a yard sale so far!

Not much to report....

Is it 2:00 YET?!?!? I am so ready to be done with work today and go home and take a nap!! I am completely exhausted! KaeLee has decided that she's going to have a growth spurt, which means mom gets to get up with her at 3am and feed her then get up again at 4 to get ready for work..... ugh. And we were already out late last night at a birthday party... nap time in T minus 7 hours! (oh, that sounds SO far away!)

Yesterday was a pretty long day! KaeLee decided she was too good for a nap and was up all day other than sleeping in the car... we went to my cousin Kimmie's soccer game yesterday afternoon and it was so cold and windy! And a restless, very tired KaeLee was the only thing keeping my lap warm! They lost 3-1, but she had a good game! I was happy to go watch and to see my Aunt JoyLynn since they live in Moses Lake and we don't see them often enough!

I have started to pull out the scrapbooking supplies yet again.... this time I am DETERMINED to get caught up! It will only take me about two weeks of 24/7 nonstop scrapbooking! Hahaha..... I'll be lucky if I get through the rest of 2007! Actually, I will be lucky to get through all of 2007 except our wedding.... that will take a year in itself! haha! I do really want to get caught up before this next baby comes though.... but that's what I said last summer and I only got 2006 and a bit of 2007 done! I was still a year behind! Now I'm 2 years behind! AAAHHHH!!!

In other news.... It's only a week from tomorrow till we find out what we are having!!! YAY! Other than that, nothing else to complain about or report, other than Shawn's back in really bothering him right now... though he claims that going to the doctor would be a waste of time and money.... I say WHATEVER.... if he'd rather have the pain, then I guess that's his choice...

That's all for now, we'll talk to ya later! It's a busy week ahead, but I'll try to post when I can.
