I feel like I haven't blogged in a while..... but it's only been since Sunday! Hahaha!! Well, yesterday KaeLee pulled herself up to her feet for the first time! She has been able to pull herself up to her knees for a while, but that was the first time on her feet. The other morning, I went in to her room to get her up and she had herself pulled up on the side of the crib (on her knees) and was waiting for someone to come get her... it was SO cute! Her little head was poking up above the crib railing. I told Shawn that this means we should probably move her mattress down to a lower setting before she pulls herself up to her feet and topples over it! So good thing he did that yesterday since that's when she started pulling herself up! The crib is such a pain to adjust, but Shawn was a trooper and won't have to do it again! (Until the next baby, I suppose...)
I can't believe that tomorrow is October! This whole summer has just flown by! And there are now only 12 days until our ultrasound! Whoo-Hoo! And KaeLee turned 8 months old on Saturday... she's getting SO big! And she just went up a size in diapers too! WOW! I just opened the first package of diapers that I actually purchased! I have officially gone through all the diapers from my baby shower! WOW! That lasted a long time! I am so grateful for them all!
I watched Hayden yesterday and KaeLee was so excited to see her, she couldn't hardly contain herself! But every time I put KaeLee on the floor, she would immediately start crawling towards Hayden, then Hayden would start crying and crawl away from her. Well, she crawls a lot faster than KaeLee and KaeLee couldn't catch her, so this made KaeLee cry because Hayden was crawling away from her, then Hayden would cry louder because KaeLee was crying. Then I would cry because they were crying.... No, just kidding! :) But it was pretty funny. Hayden finally warmed up to KaeLee after about an hour or so, then they were able to play together just fine..... except if KaeLee touched Hayden in any way, she would immediately start crying. It was quite funny! She's coming over again tomorrow so we'll see how they do then. Weston (Our neighbor boy who just turned 2) will also be over during the morning.... I'll have my hands full, that's for sure!
So I have to share my current complaint! I am quite outraged by it, actually! So the hospital starts a new policy tomorrow that anyone under the age of 14 cannot visit the pediatrics floor or the new mommy floor! I am so incredibly peeved at this!! I do not understand how they can do this?!?! What this means is that KaeLee will not be allowed on the floor when I have this next baby!! I seriously cannot get over this and I am completely upset about it!! How can you keep the mother's child from seeing her for who knows how many days?!? This is not right!! It's called the "Family Birthplace" but yet, they aren't allowing the family in?!?! Oh, I'm so mad! I am seriously considering home birth because of this! (haha, yeah right.... there's no drugs at home... haha) Anyway, I thought I would share my frustrations... in case anyone cares... I can kinda see their point for just visitors, but keeping the mother's children away is just outrageous!
Well, I am at work... it is incredibly slow.... I think I will go visit KaeLee across the street.... I don't think there's anything else too exciting to tell about... have a good rest of the week.... halfway to the weekend! YAY! (wait, I have to work this weekend... BOO!!!) Talk to ya later!

A Day of Fair Fun
Here are a few more random pictures I thought I would post... plus some from the fair today! Enjoy! Hope you all had a great weekend!

She has finally warmed up to the rocking horse that Great Grandpa Garrett gave her... for the first few weeks we had it, she would cry every time you tried to put her on it! Hahaha
This was a picture of her shortly after the photo shoot I did with her. She started to get pretty cranky. Someone was ready for a nap!

This is what she tends to do most with these rings! She also likees to look through them too. She's so funny!
Well, we went to the fair today! It was really nice.... the weather was great, though it started to get a bit too hot for us about 3:00, so we didn't stay much longer after that. We got there right when it opened today though and it wasn't too crowded yet, so that was nice too!
KaeLee loved the animals and she loved people watching. She would get so excited whenever she would see little kids and other babies. I think she thinks they are going to play with her or something... haha. I wanted to take her on a pony ride but Shawn claimed she was too young. Whatever. We didn't end up doing it, but I kinda wish we would have. Owell. She can next year and maybe actually enjoy it more! I also wanted to take one of those old time pictures, but he wouldn't go for it.... BOO!!!
We walked through all the buildings and, of course, chowed down on our favorite "fair foods". We ran into my parents and little brother, accompianied by 4 of his friends. They were "taking a break from rides" because they weren't feeling too good..... too much fair food and too many rides apparently... haha. 4 1/2 hours was enough to wear us all out! Overall, we had lots of fun and look forward to next year when KaeLee will be older and can enjoy a lot more of it! And we did the whole thing with spending only about $50! Whoo-Hoo!! Quite frankly, that's AMAZING!! And it definitely wore KaeLee out... it's 7:30 and she's already in bed for the night! Another big Whoo-Hoo! Haha.... anyway, here are some pictures from our day! Declaring My VICTORY!
Before I go to bed, I just had to declare my VICTORY!! I beat Shawn in hand and foot by a long shot!! Whoo-Hoo!! 5,705 to a mere 3,980!! Boy, do I LOVE winning! :) Sorry hon, maybe next time (but don't get your hopes up!) Goodnight y'all!
Another day....Another story....
So, KaeLee was at daycare today and I always go visit her in the afternoons.... well, one of the teachers over there is absolutely obsessed with KaeLee and she is always taking pictures of her and the other babies. And every time I go over to play with her for a while, she is always like, "oh, let's take a picture of mommy and KaeLee!" Oh, goodness.... just want.... my picture taken! And today she asked if I could bring her a family picture so she can put it in the next newsletter... oh my, she is funny! And she just goes on and on about how cute KaeLee is and how we couldn't possibly be able to have another baby that even compares to her cuteness... it's a little much, really. Appreciated, but a little much. I almost feel sorry for the other babies in there if she doesn't think they are that cute... almost.. hehehe... Anyway, she is going to email me some pictures of KaeLee at daycare playing with her friends, so I'll have to post them when she does.
Other than that, there's not a whole lot of news... Shawn and I lead a pretty boring life to say the least! For example.... we are currently talking to each other on IM through facebook... I am upstairs on the computer and he is downstairs on the lap top... HOW LAME ARE WE??!! haha. But I think we are going to go play a game or something before we hit the hay... though I could really go to bed now...
This weekend should be pretty fun filled... we have a wedding tomorrow (my Godmother's daughter.... also a friend of mine) and we might go to the parade tomorrow...KaeLee will most likely be in the middle of her morning nap though, so we'll see. I also need to go to Costco, so the parade thing may be out of luck. Then on Sunday, we are going to the fair!! YAY!! I love the fair! I am excited for KaeLee to walk through all the barns and look at the animals... her favorite books are those with animals and she loves it when you do animal sounds, so it should be fun! I just hope she doesn't sleep through it all! And I can't wait to have caramel apple slices and my special ice cream bar dipped it nuts! It's delicious! Walking through all the buildings is MY favorite part!
Well.... I hear Shawn shuffling some cards... guess we're playing cards of some sort... gotta go whoop some butt... See y'all later! Have a good weekend!

KaeLee's Photo Shoot
So I got bored a little this morning and decided to have a mini photo shoot with KaeLee for her 8 month pictures. Professional pictures can be SO expensive, so I think we'll just wait till a year old to get that luxury. So for now, here are the fun pictures. My emotional crisis!
So, just a side note.... I have had a million headaches lately and think I found the problem today! As I write this, KaeLee is taking a nap and I am watching Biggest Loser. I am a very emotional person to begin with (especially over stupid tv shows for some reason), but being pregnant, my hormones are, like, 10 times worse! These phone calls to home are not making my current headache any better! I just cry and cry and cry and it gets worse and worse and worse..... urgh. We watched House last night and that made me cry, I watched a baby story yesterday morning and that did it to me.... I really need to stop watching tv or something here!
Anyway, just thought I'd share my emotional crisis here.... Only 22 weeks left till it's over.... oh wait, no, that's not true. I remember right after having KaeLee, I was also an emotional wreck for about the next 6 weeks or so. *SIGH* Well, the weigh in is about to happen on Biggest Loser... gotta go! Have a great rest of the week!

ULTRASOUND!
Well, I had my appointment this afternoon and it went okay. It seemed to take FOREVER!! At least KaeLee was in a good mood and being very patient and very charming with everyone in the waiting room! So, my doctor is on vacation this week, so my appt was with the nurse practitioner, Cheryl. I really like her! But she couldn't find the heartbeat after trying for quite some time. Luckily the ultrasound lady just happened to be there so I had to wait for her, then I got an unexpected ultrasound! YAY!! I was so excited but bummed that Shawn wasn't there. I got to see the baby movin around and doing somersaults! So cute!
So, anyway, she found the heartbeat quickly and all was well! The heartbeat was over 150 again, so I'm leaning towards "it's a girl"! (The myth is that a heartbeat over 150 means it's a girl) I tried to get it out of her what the sex was but she "claimed" that it was too early. I didn't buy it, but whatever. So my ultrasound is sadly scheduled a dreadful 3 weeks away on October 12! AHHHHH!!!! That's so far away!
Anyway, I'm off to watch the season premiere of HOUSE! Whoo-Hoo!! Heroes also starts tonight, but that one will have to wait till tomorrow! Have a great rest of the week!

Goof up on the Poll...
So, Shawn was messing around with wanting to "fix" the background on our blog and he erased everything on the right side. So the poll is back up and running, but all the votes so far had been erased, so you'll have to vote again! Sorry!
Today ended up not being so bad after all. Shawn had some problems at work and couldn't do anything so he was home early. Bad for him, good for us!! And hayden came over and played for a while with KaeLee although she was being a little mommy-needy and wouldn't get away from my lap.... she was a little clingy today, but owell. Hayden will be back on Tuesday... I get to start watching her during the day when Heather works! Yay! And my Dad and stepmom, Pam, showed up as a surprise tonight, so that was fun! They showed up at the right time! I was just about to start getting frustrated with KaeLee's whining! Perfect timing Grandma and Papa to give mommy a break!
Tomorrow KaeLee will get to hang out with the neighbor boy, Weston, for a bit! Then maybe we'll walk dwn and visit our other neighbor Lindsay and her new daughter Kalli! (She's about a month old now). Then we'll head to my appointment and maybe run a few errands... what an eventful, eh? Haha... well, it's off to bed for now.... Happy Birthday Jake!
My Nephew, Jake, celebrated his first birthday on Friday! Happy Birthday Jake! We had a get-together for some cake and ice cream and some presents! He loved his cake, that's for sure! KaeLee and Jake had fun playing together and Jake was good about sharing his toys, since KaeLee was adamant about playing with whatever he was playing with. She is a feisty little thing that's for sure! I hope she learns to share come March!
Shawn is still working around the clock, so it has been a VERY long weekend, just me and KaeLee (....oh, wait! It's still only Sunday morning! ahhhhh.....) But luckily, a girl I work with, Heather, and her daughter, Hayden, who just turned 1 last week, are coming over to play this afternoon! Thank goodness! KaeLee definitely wore me out yesterday, I thought I was going to lose my mind! And I don't work again till Thursday... oh, Heaven help me!
I'm starting to wonder why I was excited that she started crawling....???? I have given up trying to guard the movies. So until Shawn finds a new home for his PlayStation games, they are gonna get played with for a while. She can't damage them since they're in a case and they're not gonna hurt her, so I've given up on trying to get her away from them.... *sigh*
I go to doctor tomorrow and it will be then that I will finally schedule our ultrasound to find out what we are having...!! I'm guessing he won't schedule it until the 7th or 8th, but I am going to push for closer to the 1st, or even earlier! :) I am 16 weeks today, which is how far along I was last year when we found out about KaeLee, so I am hoping he won't have a problem with it! We'll keep our fingers crossed! Maybe I can find out this week, then I will still have 2 good yardsaling weekends at least!
Anyway, here are a few more pictures.... they take forever to upload, otherwise I would have a zillion to show you, but I guess it's good so I don't bombard you with that many!

It's Official!
Well, KaeLee has been SO close for the last 6 weeks, but yesterday afternoon she OFFICIALLY started crawling! YAY for KaeLee! I guess it's time to go get the safety gate for the stairs and some outlet plugs... and probably some cabinet safety for the kitchen soon...

KaeLee's Missing Daddy
What a long few weeks it's been, with Shawn working so much. It's becoming a rarity if he is home for dinner, let alone before KaeLee goes to bed. It's definitely harder to take care of her when I don't have anyone to pass her off to when I start losing my patience, or when she has a poopy diaper and Shawn's not around to save me from from running to the toliet! (I have, since being pregnant, found that changing poopy diapers is a task my stomach can't handle too well!)
Shawn finally got his truck back last night though! He drove to Cashmere last night to pick it up, so again, I didn't see him till about 10:00 last night.... then he left at 4:00 this morning, having to drive to Portland and back this morning. Luckily, I think this big job is about over with and maybe I can have my husband back and KaeLee her daddy. Whenever we go up or down the stairs, we stop to look at the pictures on the wall and her favorite picture is Shawn and his dad, Rick, on their fishing trip last year. She always has a huge smile... I haven't figured out if it's because of her daddy or her Grandpa... haha... though I'm sure it's both!
Anyway, She just went down for a nap, so I have T minus 2 hours to eat some breakfast and get the house back in order. I better get going.... if you could see this house, you'd realize that 2 hours is hardly going to put in a dent in it! Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

What a bunch of sickies!
So KaeLee has officially gotten the whole household sick! We are all coughing our lungs up, sneezing every 30 seconds and feeling like our heads are balloons! Thanks KaeLee! Hopefully it won't last too long! At least KaeLee and I have a weekend to rest. Shawn, unfortunately has to work though. He's been quite busy these past few months. good for business, but we sure miss him at home when he has to work late.
We were looking forward to going to Kelly's wedding this weekend in Lynden, but with Shawn having to work, we aren't able to. It's probably good anyway since we are all sick. No need to spread it around! But I was really looking forward to seeing everyone we haven't seen in forever.... especially great aunt Linda! :(
On a side note: KaeLee and I went to Rosauers yesterday for their 13 hour cereal sale! Whoo-Hoo!! Then I got there and it seemed like all kinds of goodies were on sale, so I ended up buying everything for a steak dinner for tomorrow night! Yum-O! Baked potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Steak, and Salad were all on sale.... how could I pass that up!?! I have been craving corn on the cob all summer but it has not been on sale and heaven forbid I buy it at regular price! haha... so I am now looking forward to a great steak dinner with my parents and Konner tomorrow night. My mouth is watering already! KaeLee was, of course, oooohed and ahhhhhed over throughout the store and in the long checkout lines. She was being a happy girl though and smiling right back and being very charming! If only they had been around about 3 hours later when she started to get VERY cranky!! No one ever seems to see that part! Just mommy! Oh, boy, am I lucky or what! ;)
Welp, should get back to work now.... What a slow morning it's been! (Have been here since 5am) Wouldn't mind if it stayed this slow all day though.... 3 hours down, 7 hours to go.... wish me luck! Happy Friday everyone!
We were looking forward to going to Kelly's wedding this weekend in Lynden, but with Shawn having to work, we aren't able to. It's probably good anyway since we are all sick. No need to spread it around! But I was really looking forward to seeing everyone we haven't seen in forever.... especially great aunt Linda! :(
On a side note: KaeLee and I went to Rosauers yesterday for their 13 hour cereal sale! Whoo-Hoo!! Then I got there and it seemed like all kinds of goodies were on sale, so I ended up buying everything for a steak dinner for tomorrow night! Yum-O! Baked potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Steak, and Salad were all on sale.... how could I pass that up!?! I have been craving corn on the cob all summer but it has not been on sale and heaven forbid I buy it at regular price! haha... so I am now looking forward to a great steak dinner with my parents and Konner tomorrow night. My mouth is watering already! KaeLee was, of course, oooohed and ahhhhhed over throughout the store and in the long checkout lines. KaeLee Is On The Move!
Though KaeLee has not officially started crawling yet, she somehow manages to move all around and I find myself "chasing" after her. I have also noticed that when she gets really quiet it means I need to check on her. She will be on the living room floor while I am in the kitchen and I hear nothing, so I look up at her, and find that she has discovered something she knows is not a toy. So far, examples include: the remote left on the floor, a random piece of paper, a box, the playstation cord, movies, a pile of clothes I just folded.... the list goes on. Who knows what she'll find when she starts actually crawling. Right now it's an art to try and figure out how to get where she wants to go! It's hilarious to secretly watch her!
I have also discovered that she is going to be a lover of clothes. She loves it in the morning when I stand at her closet with her, browsing through her clothes for what she will wear. She loves to grab at them and stroke them and bury her face in them. She gets very excited. I fear she will become a clothing shopaholic! Hahaha. Something else she may become is a cheerleader. When she is being really whiny and upset about something, all I have to do is do a few cheerleader moves and cheers and she is laughing in no time! It fun to entertain her, but quite exhausting!
KaeLee has also started to make lots of new friends through daycare. She has been going for ust over a month now for 2 or 3 days a week. There are lots of little babies there! She is in the infant room, 0-12 months, and there are usually about 6-12 babies there every day, so she is getting very socialized! And VERY loud! On days after she has been at daycare, those are her loudest nights! She is very talkative and babbles on and on and on. It's so funny, but Shawn and I have found that we have to watch our shows after she goes to bed because she is such a loud talker that we can't hear the tv! haha.

Becoming a Blogger
So I have decided to step into the world of blogging.... I figure this will be a great way to keep the family involved and informed on all the crazy stuff going on in our family.
We are so blessed to have such a large family, but unfortunately we don't all live in the same town, so keeping everyone up to date can be tricky and I'm not so good at it.
I will try to post blogs often and keep you up to date on the latest going on around here. I will be sure to share some great stories about KaeLee and share all the intimate details about her life... haha. Though, I promise to try not and bore you all!
