Well, no baby yet! Ugh. I have been very grumpy the past few days because of it! haha. I'm good at the moment though because KaeLee is upstairs, sounds asleep.... whew! Although, it's been an hour already, so she will probably wake up at any time. Owell. At least Shawn will be home soon. Hopefully anyway. He better be home in time for her dinner feeding because I can't handle trying to feed her again today! I hate eating times! Breakfast is torture. Lunch is torture. Dinner is torture. And all her in-between meal snacks are torture! Now that she has experienced feeding herself, she REFUSES to allow us to feed her. It is SUPER frustrating because she makes such a mess with her food and isn't good at using a spoon yet, so she doesn't get a lot to eat. She just flings it everywhere. Then she tries to use her hand and then smears it all over herself. UGH. I can't stand it and I don't have any patience whatsoever to deal with this phase of hers until she gets better at using the spoon.
Anyway..... I am still trying to find things she likes to eat and that she WILL eat, but it is SO hard! She is still not into much textured foods. Last night, she really enjoyed her mashed sweet potatoes with some diced glazed carrots in them though. Again, she made a huge mess and I hate cleaning it up, but she really liked it and ate quite a bit. (Oh, and now it takes FOREVER for her to eat too!)
Shawn left me without a car today..... BOO!! His car broke down last night when he was almost home. He started walking home with KaeLee (I was still at work) and the moxee cop pulled over and offered him a ride the rest of the way home. I was SHOCKED because he didn't have a carseat, but yet he let Shawn and KaeLee ride in the front seat of the cop car! Granted, it was only a few more blocks.... but STILL! I was shocked! Shawn charged the battery for the Truck last night so he could drive it to work today (YES! The battery was dead!) and it didn't work. So now, we've got to get a new battery for the truck and do who-knows-what to the car! Ugh. It never seems to end! If only that stupid lady wouldn't have ran the stop sign, causing me to total my car, we would have had a new car for Shawn last year and this would have never happened! So anyway, he took my car to work, and who knows when we'll get his car taken in. At least yesterday was my last day of work, so I don't really HAVE to go anywhere, I suppose.....
Well, some pretty exciting news is that my little brother has made it into the second round of a huge writing contest. He wrote a book (yes, a 50,000 + word book!) for an international writing contest. There were more than 5,000 entries and in the first round, they narrowed it down to 1,000 and he made it! That's amazing! Especially since he's only 13 and the age limit goes to 17 or 18! And it's international! He has to wait till the end of March to find out the results of the next cut. I can't remember how many they cut it down to next though. But he's pretty excited and stoked about it! The first place winner gets $15,000 and a publishing contract. Good job Konner!
Well, my bags are packed and so are Hannah's and KaeLee's (Shawn never packs in advance, of course...) and we are just waiting around for something to happen! I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he said my cervix is 60% thinned out and I am dialated to 1 cm. Which, really doesn't mean anything, in case you're wondering. I've known people to be dialated at 3 cm for a couple weeks! Hahaha!! With KaeLee, I was 80% thinned out and not dialated at all and then I had her 3 days later! So you never know! I was hoping for today, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen! Msybe Monday. March 1st is sounding like a good date. My mom's guess is February 28th. I haven't had any contractions, but am kinda hoping I don't and that it'll happen like KaeLee's, where my water just randomly broke without any contractions. That way I don't have to deal with the contractions and wait around until they are close together and keep wondering when I should head to the hospital....
Anyway, I should probably pick up KaeLee's toys before she gets up and figure out something to make for dinner since it's already after 5! KaeLee has now been sleeping for an hour and a half, so she is bound to get up any minute! Probably as soon as I hit "post". hahaha. Well, I will keep you all updated on Hannah's arrival (or lack there of!) haha. Hopefully it will be soon because I am awefully grumpy waiting around for her! Talk to ya all later!
PS. Here are a few pictures from the last couple weeks...
I'm READY to go! So are my dollies!
I love my carseat! (It's by the door, ready to go with Grandma and Grandpa when we go to the hospital)
Ah, they were holding hands. Hayden was shaking KaeLee's hand, saying "meet you" It was SO cute!
Yes, they both squeezed in for a ride together in KaeLee's car

Our daughter is SO cute!
So I just wanted to share how absolutely CUTE KaeLee is!! We got home from work/daycare about an hour ago and she has just been happy and super cute! She has learned the words "hi" and "uh-oh" and she is walking around the house saying hi to everything. She will pick things up and throw them down and then put her hands up and say "UH oh!". It is hilarious! Although it wasn't so cute yesterday during her snack time and she was throwing things off her high chair and then pointing to it and putting her hands up and saying uh oh. (okay, so it was pretty cute, but it got old real fast!)
So she's not talking much other than that. Of course, she rambles on and on to her dollies and will thumb through a pile of books while "reading" to herself. She has learned other ways to communicate though and has learned that if she comes running over to me, babbling and pointing towards the other room, that I will follow her. She will then run into the other room (making sure I am following her) and she will run to either her zebra, her swing or her picnic table and pat it and then turn to me and put her arms up. This means she wants on it. So I put her on it and we play and she's all smiles. She also has discovered that if she goes over to the cabinet with all her food in it and bang on the door, yelling, then come over and get me, that I will feed her. Hahaha. It's pretty funny. I'm glad she can communicate a little more now though and can't wait till she can tell me that she's hungry or tired or what she's wanting. It will be really nice! (though people are telling me that I won't want her to talk once she starts.... but I don't know how it could get old listening to her talk! she's just too darn cute!)
She is also learning how to use a spoon. Though, I let her do this mainly at daycare because I can't handle the mess.... I get really anxious and fidgety and just want to clean her up..... haha. But yesterday, I gave her a bowl of yogurt and a spoon and went and sat on the couch. (I couldn't bare to watch the soon-to-be-mess!) She did really good! She actually ate most all of it and even though she got it all over her face, her bib, her clothes, the highchair and the floor, she enjoyed it thoroughly! I will have to become a little braver and let her do it more often. Though it will take me a while before I allow her to do this with something like spaghetti..... haha. I took some pictures and will have to post them soon. (the camera is ALL the way across the room at the moment or else I'd do it now..... hahaha)
Well, I had another OB appointment yesterday. Same ole, Same ole. I thought for sure he would check me this week, but he said he'd do that next Wednesday. I told him "well, I hope to have this baby by then!" and he just laughed. I told him that Monday was my hopeful date and Shawn's was next Friday, and he just laughed and said either day would work and it could be possible.... So I am not looking forward to next week.... Unless I have the baby, that is! It's crazy to think that I could very well have her in less than a week! We will then officially have TWO kids! AHHHHHHH!!!! I have made my lists of things to do beforehand.... lots of lists. In fact, one girl at work was making fun of me because I was making a list of all the "lists" I need to make. Now all I need to do is start crossing things off those lists. There are about 8 lists.... things like My Hospital Bag, What to bring for Hannah, What to bring for Shawn, KaeLee's overnight bag for when I go into labor, Things left to do with Hannah's room and before her arrival, a cleaning list, a grocery list..... and on and on. What can I say.... I'm a list girl! Speaking of which, I really need to make a list of foods I've tried with KaeLee, what she likes, what she doesn't, and what I still want to try with her. (sorry, just thinking aloud)....
Anyway, it is now nearly 5:00 already! This post took me an hour! WOW!! I guess that's what happens when I am playing with KaeLee at the same time and then giving her snack time. (yogurt melts and crackers today.... nothing messy.... sorry KaeLee) Well, I gotta go find something to make for dinner I suppose. I hate making dinner. As soon as I start, KaeLee gets super whiny and wants me to hold her. Go figure. Right now she is being super content playing with her dollies and covering them up with my kitchen towels and wrapping them up.... I hate making dinner before Shawn gets home because it's just so much easier if he is here to play with her and keep her off of my feet! But I suppose I will go give it a try!...... wish me luck. I'm thinking Chicken Cordon Blue sounds good....

It's looking up....
So, I have to say, that the rest of the day yesterday went wonderfully. Despite KaeLee only taking an hour long nap in the morning, she was a very good girl and only threw one fit till her second nap. I think being at Grandma Beaudry's house helped this. If it were just me and her at home, she would have been more rotten probably! haha. But there she had new people to play with. She especially enjoyed Aunt Deanne, who happened to stop by while we were there. She definitely put on a charming show for them. I think she said "hi" about 50 gazillion times to them. It WAS pretty cute, I guess.... :)
I finally got my wax yesterday and let me tell you..... I feel like a completely different person! Ah, MUCH better! The lady took forever though and it was starting to get really uncomfortable, but I somehow managed to hang in there till she was done and not throw up everywhere. I hate it when they start plucking my eyebrows.... I came for a WAX, not a pluck, thank you! When my eyebrows get plucked, it makes my stomach turn and I get SO queasy that I feel like throwing up. it is really not much fun. Anyway, I some time before I had to be up at my mom's (for our weekly viewing of the Bachelor, my one night a week away from KaeLee)so I went to TJMaxx to look around and I ended up finding a couple of purple baby blankets! YAY! Purple one's are not to easy to run across! And they were super cheap, so I was WAY excited! (you know me, I LOVE a great deal!)
Shawn had a little trouble getting KaeLee down for bedtime, but it only took a bout a half hour this time. Then she woke up at 2am this morning and was hungry for some reason (maybe she should have ate more lunch and dinner yesterday, eh?). She downed a large bottle then went back to sleep. Whew. That only took a half hour. An hour and a half later I was up and getting ready for work. Whoo-Hoo.... I work today, have tomorrow off, then work the next 4 days.... I am hoping that that will be the end of my working days for a while, as I am hoping to have this baby on Monday! If not, I only work Thursday and Friday next week, then I am done for sure! YAY! (that means only 5 more days of daycare!)
Well, breakfast trayline is about to start, so I should get back to work I suppose.... Have a great Tuesday.... or Monday for most of you since you probably had yesterday off work... We'll talk again soon...

Oh boy, Oh boy!
Oh my goodness, what a morning! First of all, I feel like I only write when I have something frustrating to talk about.... so I havve to tell you that yesterday (Valentine's Day) was fabulous! KaeLee was such a good girl all day! She hardly whined and was super easy to put down for her (morning) nap and at bedtime. (We won't talk about her second nap attempt...)
Today so far has been a different story. I had to physically remove myself from the situation before I did something I shouldn't. We started nap at 10:00. She was super tired, kept rubbing her eyes and laying on the floor and yawning... We walked around and sang for 15 minutes, then as soon as I started walking to the chair to sit down and rock with her, she immediately starts screaming (I wasn't even sitting yet!). This is her new thing that drives me mad! So I put her in her crib to scream because I refuse to allow this behavior. I went downstairs, ate a piece of leftover pizza and went back up to her room to try again. I decided that I was not going to give in and stand with her. She could either sit and rock with me or go back in her crib. So I went in there at 10:30, sat down with her and got up about 30 seconds later and put her back in her crib. I went into our bedroom, screamed a bit, cried a lot, then waited. 10:45 came and I gave it one more try. I tried to be patient and rock her a little longer despite the screaming, tantrum-throwing baby on me. Same thing, so I put her in her crib and went to take a shower. (After throwing up.... please refer to yesterday's post for confusion). Got in the shower at 10:58 and took a nice, relaxing shower. (as nice and relaxing as it could be, knowing that she's screaming her head off in the other room..... even though I couldn't hear it). I got out of the shower, looked at the clock... 11:13. I held my breath and turned the fan off and opened the bathroom door. Silence. NO WAY! I listened again... SILENCE!! WHOO-HOO! She fell asleep! I wasn't completely sure and didn't want to go check on her quite yet. i didn't want to take the chance that she was barely asleep and would wake up at the sound of the creak in the floor. So I finished getting ready and 10 minutes later I crept in and found her snoring away. I covered her up and did a little dance down the stairs and crashed on the couch from exhaustion. I don't know why she's being like this, but I DO know that mommy can't handle too much more of it before she sends me into labor!
I am instilling a policy starting today that she is no longer to be held and walked with when trying to put her to sleep. I don't know where she came up with the idea that she needs this done, but it has GOT to stop. No more. What-so-ever. The next week or so is going to be tough to break her of this, but hopefully we will survive and life will be better.
I hope she wakes up happy because after nap we are going to eat some lunch and go visit Grandma Beaudry for a bit. She just had surgery on Friday to have all her insides taken out.... (ovaries and the works...). Hopefully KaeLee will be in a better mood after a nap and will forget about how mommy was "mean" before she fell asleep and just left her there. Then perhaps we will go bother Grandma and Grandpa Sauve since they have the day off today or go ge a wax. Oh, I am in desperate need of a wax. I feel completely embarrased to be seen by anyone looking this way.
Oh crap, KaeLee just woke up. I guess an hour nap will have to suffice. Wish me luck and have a great Monday!

What a dreadful day!
So today was quite a difficult day. Something is wrong with KaeLee and I am not too sure what the problem is. I know that she probably doesn't feel well the way her nose is running and her appetite is lacking. She has not been acting like herself for the last few days, but today was nearly unbearable! She is super super clingy to me right now and doesn't want to do anything but be held and walked around. Forget sitting. Forget trying to play with her. Forget anything else! Well, having a large ball prutruding out of the front of me, I am off balance enough, then attach a 19 pound child to one side of me and I am really off kelter! She does okay if I sit on the floor with her, but I can only handle the floor for so long these days.....
Anyway, I don't know what to do with her. Shawn had to hold her while she took her hour and a hlaf nap today because every time he set her down, she was instantly awake. But she was SO tired! Beyond tired, actually.... Suprisingly enough, she fell asleep about an hour ago while drinking her bottle..... PRAISE THE LORD! Hopefully she sleeps all night and is not up at 1:00, then again at 4:00! I should goto bed right now actually, to ensure maximum hours of sleep! But I am so sore right now from walking around with KaeLee so much today, walking around Target and crawling and rolling around on the floor with KaeLee that just the thought about stretching out in bed is painful! Hahaha.
My little brother, Konner, has a basketball tournament this weekend, so Shawn, KaeLee and I went to his morning game. They won in overtime by one point. It was a really good game. That's when KaeLee's crankiness and clingyness started for the day. I went to the second game while Shawn stayed home to put her down for a nap. (this time they lost by 2 points in overtime..... another close game!) This is when he ended up having to hold her the whole time. I had to get outta there for a while though and take a breather. She gets me so frustrated and worked up that I get physically sick and throw up. It's happened three times this week since she's been like this. I guess some kids drive their moms to chocolate, some to have to take a drive, some to go outside and scream.... but in my case, she drives me to puke. Thanks KaeLee. :-)
Anyway, I guess I just want to whine about the day. It is becoming painful to walk and I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow. Ugh. Shawn said he would go for me, but if I sent him with a list, he would only get what is on the list! When it comes to grocry shopping, I am not the best "list" shopper. I have to walk down every aisle to ensure that I am not missing something that I forgot to put on my list, or the I am not missing a great deal on something that we may not need at the moment, but if it's such a great deal, I gotta stock up on it, right?! So, yeah, Shawn doesn't shop like this and it drives me crazy of course. We cannot go shopping together because he looks straight at the list and has tunnel vision till he gets the items on it. No browsing for him. I may drag him with me to be my hands though. It's hrad enough to trudge around the store with this watermelon under my shirt, but to reach for items high on the shelf, bend over for the low ones, load them into the cart, then onto the belt at the register, then into the cart again, then into the car, then into the house, then into the cupboards..... well, it can just get a little taxing!
Speaking of taxes, we just got our refund in the bank the other day! Whoo-Hoo! We were not expecting much of a refund at all this year, but thanks to KaeLee, we got an exciting big one! (I am having deja vu here and am thinking I may have mentioned this in the last blog....if so, disregard this paragraph....hahaha)
Well, I am going to go to bed. Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow to everyone! Shawn and I don't have any plans, other than grocery shopping. We are taking a slight boycott to the holiday this year, I suppose..... or we're just too lazy to celebrate it..... hahaha. Have a great day..... I'm gonna go hit the hay! Night.

Night.

It's been a while....
WOW! I can't believe it's been so long since my last blog! Hahaha..... well, I guess it has been a pretty busy few weeks!
I have been working a lot, and am finally on a 5 day off stretch....! We started our new computer program and it was pretty stressful and the patient count was super high during the whole thing which just made everything even more stressful. And we had a couple of our "regular" patients who are very difficult, which also didn't help!
Shawn is still working a lot and has been super busy at his work as well.
KaeLee had her 1 year appointment and is doing fine. She is in the 28th percentile in her height and 11th percentile for her weight. She is still on the small side but she is growing at a consistent rate, so Dr. Simms is not too worried. He may run a test for Cystic Fibrosis at 18 months if she still has a persistent cough and is still really low in her percentiles. He said he's not too concerned about it, but may do it just in case.
We got her one year pictures back and they look super cute! But in the smaller pictures we ordered, they didn't fix the cropping and so I had to re-order most of them. The re-orders finally just came in and they mailed them out to us today for overnight shipping, so I should get them tomorrow! YAY!! Also, I made a first year book for KaeLee on shutterfly.com. I am so excited about it! That should also be arriving tomorrow! Whoo-Hoo!! So next time you see us, you'll have to take a look at it! I spent all last week hurriedly getting it done because they were having a sale and I wanted to get it done before it ended.... and I barely did! But I saved 60% and got free shipping! Can't beat that great deal! (I'm a sucker for good deals!)
As far as pregnancy goes..... well, I am ready for Hannah to get here! We have finished her room for the most part. Shawn still needs to make her window seat, which I think he is doing this weekend, and I need to find a bookshelf of some sort for her. I didn't know that was going to be such a task, but my goodness! I didn't know it was legal to charge so much for something that is so simple as a bookshelf! So I am still on the hunt for a good deal. I am currently 36 weeks.... only 4 weeks to go! YAY! I am hoping for more like 2 weeks.... February 22nd would be really nice actually....! Sounds like a good date to me! My body is being a bit nicer to me lately..... either that or I've just gotten used to it. hahaha. And only recently have my feet been starting to swell, which is much better than having to deal with the swelling for months, like I did with KaeLee!
KaeLee is quite the busy bee! She is babbling away and looks at me, using hand gestures and face expressions like I'm supposed to know what she is saying... haha.... it's quite funny. Her cutest thing she does right now is putting her hands up in question when playing peek-a-boo or something. You say, "where'd the dolly go?" and she puts her hands out, palms up, and babbles (I'm guessing she's saying 'I don't know').... It's super cute and you can't watch her do it without smiling! She still won't eat table foods. Though she doesn't have any teeth (and the doctor said she's nowhere close), she is over the baby food era, but this makes it difficult to feed her! Today I gave her some pasta shells in a cheese sauce and green beans (trying something new) and she gagged at them and threw up. She threw up the other day too while eating some goldfish crackers (also new). So she is either really dramatic, tried to swallow too big of a bite without chewing enough, or really just doesn't like them. Ugh. I have a feeling I am going to have a picky eater on my hands. I was hoping she wouldn't get that trait of mine.... haha. So for now, we are sticking with the fruits and her usual sweet potatoes and squash and yogurt, yogurt melts, and sweet potato puffs. So far, mashed potatoes, green beans, avacados, corn, grilled cheese, spaghetti, lasagna, and macaroni are all out (as well as much more we;ve tried, but I can't think of off the top of my head). Maybe someday this kid will learn to eat.
Other than that, I don't think there has been much else going on. Oh, we had our tax appointment and should be getting our return probably early next week! YAY! We were surprised at how much we are getting back.... we adjusted our paychecks last year so we would have bigger checks throughout the year instead of a huge return, but having KaeLee last year caused us to get quite the refund. No complaining here. Our tax return will be here in perfect timing with me about to go on maternity leave. It amounts to the equivelant of about 8 paychecks for me... hahaha. That's how bad daycare sucks up my check! I will actually be having much larger checks while on maternity leave than I would if I was actually working! CRAZY! So for that reason, I will most likely take my full 12 weeks! Maybe only 10, but we'll have to see. And if I go back, I will most likely only do weekends for a while just to save on daycare. I really don't feel like paying $64 a day for daycare would be worth my time and energy at work!
Well, I thank you all for celebratng KaeLee's brithday with us and am thankful for the help of my wonderful husband for setting everything else and helping to prepare for the full house. And to my mom for making the salad and helping to cut the veggies. And also to Sue, Jon, Loretta and Ernie for helping to clean up. It made it much easier and the clean up went super fast with so much help! In fact, I don't think I actually even did any of the clean up..... it was done before I could finish my plate of food! Thank you cards should be out soon.... it's taking me forever to get them done. But I only have a couple left and then I have to go get stamps for them.... KaeLee and I were going to walk down there today, but then I realized the post office is closed from 1-2 and of course, it was 5 minutes to 1! Owell... maybe Friday after work I'll have a chance to get some.
I posted some pictures from her first birthday, a few random pics from the last month, and also a few from her first professional photoshoot. I have to say..... we have the cutest daughter ever! Have a great rest of the week... talk to ya later!
