THE FAIR!

The Fair.... yum yum... good.

We had a great time at the fair yesterday and I think I can say that more confidently than ever! Probably because we went during the week.... A wednesday morning and left before all the school kids got there. PERFECT! Especially for me, who hates crowds. No, I would never be able to live in a big city!

In fact (yes, off subject...) Tuesday, on the way to my little brother's cross country meet, I was stuck in "traffic" in MOXEE!!! Oh man, I was going bonkers! A trip that should have only taken me 4 minutes, ended up taking close to 20!! More reason why they need to make the highway 4 lanes all the way to Moxee and not just Terrace Heights! I have learned to not go anywhere between 2:15 and 4:00, when all the schools are getting out. I had to wait through 6 stoplights at Beaudry Rd!!! 6!! INSANE! Anyway.... I had to vent.

Getting back the fair! We went to all the animals, of course, and went through all the buildings. It was SO nice to go during the week because the sundome was not busy whatsoever and I could actually comfortably push the stroller down each aisle without stressing out about people in they way or getting trapped or running anyone over..... WHEW!! The same went for the Bunny Barn! The aisles last year were so skinny and I about had a panic attack trying to push the stroller through... this year, there was maybe 3 other people in the whole barn! WHOO-HOO!! I had a moment there when I felt like Kate Gosslin when she gets the whole park rented out for her family..... I felt rich, like this is what I had done for my family! haha.

We checked out the rides after going through the Sundome. We found out that KaeLee is unable to ride any of them! She has to be 36" to ride with an Adult! How Ridiculous! There was one that said 0" with Adult, but they were little cars and there was NO WAY my butt was going to fit in there with her! The lady running the ride even told one other kid (probably about 14) that she didn't think he would fit 9no, he was not overweight...). I was like, 'why even put that sign up 0" with an Adult, when they know that NO adult will fit in there???'. So poor KaeLee didn't get to go on any rides. I felt really bad for her, but I don't think she knew any different.

The girls both loved the animals, of course. KaeLee was more fun this year just because she can make the animal noises and so she REALLY enjoyed the cows! And she rode her first pony! She was a bit timid at first, but by the end she was talking up a storm and smiling big! I think she wanted to go again, but we quickly diverted her attention to something else!

We were walking through one of the buildings and Shawn and I stopped to look at something.... I heard someone behind me say, "oh, we have to get a picture of this!!" So I turned around to see what he was looking at so I could get a picture too! I caught him taking a picture of KaeLee! Uh, creepy?? If this wasn't an old, cute couple, I would have been a little more freaked out, but I decided that they just actually think she's cute. (and who could argue???!!?) Shawn and I just steered them away and laughed at it. It brought back a quick memory of Hannah being "petted" at the zoo by another little boy. So it was only fair that KaeLee has her turn of being the fair attraction.... hahaha.

We went into the petting zoo also. Shawn took KaeLee around since I did it at the zoo. She loved it of course! She is surprisingly super gentle and nice with all the animals. She doesn't really pet them, she just puts her hand on it, then moves onto the next one.... then makes her rounds again. This petting zoo was a weird one. It had a kangeroo and a deer. Yup. Bambi was there. And she liked to eat people's shirts. See photo below.

Today Shawn is down in Tri-Cities at a trade show for work. He won't be home till late, so yup, I'm headed to Mom's later. Then I get to work tomorrow (uh, did I say "get to". my bad. haha) then I got Saturday off. Whoo-Hoo! We are going to try and get some stuff done around the house and get this house up for sale! I could be getting some stuff done now (and should be...) but I figured I would write a blog instead....

Well, I should get to these pictures so I can eat some lunch.... ENJOY! :)

Oh, how Hannah LOVED this!! KaeLee loved pushing her! What a great big sister!

Oh, yeah!! Mommy's right again!

So Hannah proved me right today and started crawling!! She has been SO close all month, but today, she finally started moving across the room! She does more of an army crawl, but it works! It gets her where she needs to be! I also noticed yesterday that she is pushing herself back up into a sitting position! Whoo-Hoo Hannah! Also, just noticed yesterday how vocal she is becoming! She has certainly got a voice and is beginning to really use it now!

My parents and Konner came over for dinner last night and while trying to have a conversation at the table, Hannah decided she wanted to be heard and our voices were quickly drowned out by her loud voice talking our ears off. Haha. It is quite funny but can get old real fast!

Well, KaeLee just woke up from a 3 1/2 hour nap, so I better go get her. We are going to the fair tomorrow, so I will try to get pictures up shortly after! I am anticipating a great time! :) Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Babies, boredom, and bed!

My sweet friend Amber had her baby Friday. Poor girl had to push for an hour and a hlaf before having to have a c-section. 8 lbs 20" Kaleb Lee. He was a couple days overdue. She lives down in Texas. Her friend, Sarah, is the one who lost her baby just 4 weeks ago.

I am so tired and so bored. I wish I could just go home and sleep! MY back is absolutely killing me this morning and my stomache still aches. Last night I had the worst stomache ache ever. I don't know what was going on, but oh man, I don't wish to experience it again!

93. The number of patients I have to call today. And I have a feeling it will only grow. Hopefully the phone won't ring at all this morning so I can get a lot of people called. Usually I can get it down to about 30 people before the 10:00 girl comes in. I hate calling people so early in the morning. I know that nurses wake them up for their morning rounds this early anyway, but I feel bad calling. My boss starts calling at 7:00, but I just can't do it. I have to wait till at least 7:30. Crap, speaking of the phone ringing, it's already started!..... YES! Those are the phone calls I like! A mom is going into surgery this morning to have her baby, which means she can't eat breakfast, which means one less person to call for lunch since she will have to be on clears after her surgery.... :) This particular mom has been here forever!! Poor thing has been on bedrest. Bedrest is one thing, but bedrest in the hospital... I would never wish that on anyone! I wonder how far along she is...??? hmmm....

Anyway, the fair started Friday, here in Yakima! YAY!! I love the fair! I love walking through the buildings and looking at all the fun stuff people have entered. This year we get to add some rides into our fair experience. I'm pretty excited! I love the kiddy rides and am glad to have an excuse to ride them! I don't think KaeLee will be tall enough to ride very many of them, and I definitely don't see her riding anything by herself, but it will be a good year to introduce her to them and get her "feet wet" in the ride department! We plan to go to the fair on Wednesday since i work every weekend, and the weekends are the busiest anyway. We want to go on a day when the kids are in school and parents are at work. KaeLee loved the animals last year and I know she will love them even more this year. Hannah will love too, I am sure! I think my favorite thing last year was just watching the expressions on KaeLee's face when she was looking and taking everything in. So I'm excited to see that with Hannah to!

Shawn started putting up the crown molding yesterday. It looks really good on all the painted walls. It kinda blends in on the white walls though and makes our walls look dirty since the molding is pure white and the walls are not. I think the next time I do it, I would have the ceilings painted a different color other than white also. This would make it stand out even more. But it's coming along great and after it's caulked and touched up with paint, it will be amazing! :)

Well, it's about that time to start calling patients. Maybe I will go grab a quick bite to eat first. Please pray that they all tell me that they are going home today! That is the best! That way, my phone calls with each patient would only take less than a minute and I can have all 93 people called before 10:00, then do lunch trayline and maybe go home early! Whoo-Hoo! Have a great Sunday everyone!

GO SEAHAWKS!!!
