KaeLee's DREAM come TRUE!

I have some pictures that I stole from my mom's camera that I forgot to post last time.  I had forgotten my camera when we went to the parade, so there are pictures from that, and more from the weekend.

Last weekend, we went to Camano Island to visit Shawn's family and go to his 10 year class reunion.  They didn't plan very well, I didn't think, and gave pretty short notice.  There weren't very many people there; maybe about 20 classmates.  Shawn thinks his class was about 200 people.  :(  Disappointing.  And his closest friends weren't there, so that was even more disappointing for him.  But we enjoyed the time spent with his family and also had one other reason to go to the west side:  KaeLee's Playhouse!  (well, it's BOTH of theirs!)   I have mentioned before that KaeLee has been praying and dreaming about her "new house" that she saw in a catalog and we told her if she was lucky, maybe if she asked for it for Christmas, it might come.

Well, knowing that we were going to the west side last weekend, I was browsing through craigslist and found the exact playhouse that she had pointed out!  And they were asking $100.  It normally goes for $350, so I thought this was a GREAT deal! And the best part was that it had been kept inside the whole time, so it wasn't dirty, sun faded or crawling with spiders or anything!  Whoo Hoo!  Only problem was that it was down in Seattle.  So, on our way home, we went through Seattle (not exactly on our way now that we are living in East Wenatchee....) so instead of the 3 hour drive it normally takes, we were in for a 5 1/2 hour drive!!  AHHHHHH!!!!!  3 hours has always been my max with the girls, and this time was no different.  KaeLee is getting older, so she is getting better, but Hannah is another story.  Argh.  But I am glad it's over.  There was a bad accident on the westbound lanes when we got to about North Bend.  My parents were stuck in traffic while they were on their way to a comedian show.  It was backed up for over 30 miles!  And we are talking about cars having their lawn chairs out on the road, sitting in them, drinking a pop, people taking their dog for a walk, some kids throwing a football around..... haha.  All on I-90, in the middle of the freeway!  It was quite the site!  Thankfully, no one was hurt in the accident, but I guess a trailer got smashed to pieces.  We didn't get to see it since it was behind a bunch of trees.

Anyway, we are home now, and it has been a busy week!  Shawn is trying to get a remodel done in one of the rental units before harvest starts.  They will be starting to pick next Thursday.  And tomorrow, Shawn turns 28!  He's getting so old...... haha.  We are going to go to the Wok About for dinner, have some cake and ice cream, and then his sister is going to stay at the house while we go to the Mill Bay casino up in Chelan with Shawn's dad and stepmom Sharon.  I've never been there, so I am pretty excited.   Then Saturday, we will be at the Cox's house (Shawn's grandma) for their yearly summer BBQ.  Then Sunday, (I think, anyway) my parents are coming up for the day.  So we have another busy weekend ahead of us.  Next weekend is pretty busy also!  That's the story of our life....!!  haha

All week, I have been diving into my own 10 year reunion.  Being the class president in high school, I feel obligated to get the ball rolling and start getting this thing organized!  I have had some great luck trying to collect addresses and find people!  And I have an awesome team to work with.  I am actually most excited about that, actually, because the people in the "planning committee" were "friends" in high school, but not the type that hung out with each other all the time.  That's what I love so much about our class, is that even though everyone had "their friends", everyone still liked everyone else and had fun together and no one was too clicky.  Yeah, everyone still had their "groups", but none of the groups were exclusive, I guess.  Everyone still hung out with everyone, which made our class extremely close.  Through contacting all these people, I have been thrilled to hear a lot of "I can't wait" and "looking forward to it" 's!  I really hope a lot of people come and I have a feeling, with how friendly and close our class was, that it will happen!

Well, I will get back to the pictures.  Enjoy.  Not sure when I will write next, but hopefully soon! Till then, have blessed days!

At the parade, waiting for it to start

another Happy Hannah!

At my Aunt's house swimming! Hannah's feet were kicking like crazy!

KaeLee would rather just chill in the boat!

Hannah gets to jump in!  Like I predicted..... NO FEAR!  She just runs right over the edge!

My grandpa Heilman

This is my cousin Scott and his wife Dawn (who took all the super cute pics of the girls!)

This was last weekend at Shawn's grandma's house in Camano Island.... on her deck.  Hannah loved to be able to go freely out onto the deck.  She loves being outside!  I love this action picture of her sprinting!  haha.  good form Hannah! haha

KaeLee preferred to sit with Tapanga and pet her while enjoying the beautiful view!

KaeLee thought it was so funny when Tapanga scratched behind her ear!  haha

Hannah playing her new house!  Yes, we gave to them as a very early Christmas gift!  Little do they know now, but there won't be much under the tree for them in a few months.....!

KaeLee peeking out from the front door.  I need to get a better picture of the playhouse for you!  It's super cute.  Pretty boy-ish, but they LOVE it!  It has a marketplace on one side, a gas station on another, a basketball hoop and soccer net on another, and then the front is a firehouse.  They have been playing in it every day this week.  Hopefully they play in it every day for the next year! Then I will feel like it has paid for itself..... haha.

Bath time! They were being silly and trying to  stand in the baskets (normally I yell at them for this, but I just had to snap a picture first....haha)  Their little naked butts are too cute! And yes, the water is pink!  They have some pretty cool little tablets that turn the water different colors.  They love it and I love it too because they don't ask for bubble baths as often.  Bubbles are horrible for eczema skin, so if I do bubbles for them it's only once every few months!

haha..... I didn't realize that was the last picture, but I guess it's a good ending picture.... haha!  And I guess I will just leave you with that!
