News News News

BABY NEWS!!!

My cousin, Trish, is having a GIRL! I am SO excited I could just spit. Hmmmm.... so maybe "spit" is not the right word. But I am super excited to start going through all of my baby stuff and getting it ready for her! Oh, I just can't wait!

Speaking of babies..... Shawn and I had the "baby talk" tonight and I believe we have made the decision to not have any more children. We have thought about it and thought about it and prayed about it and have gone over it a thousand times and it just seems like the right decision. Am I bummed? Well, a tiny piece of my heart aches, but honestly, I couldn't be more happier with our family as it is! KaeLee and Hannah are such blessings and I don't think I am really "missing out" on anything in our lives just because we are not having more children. Of course if we were to have a surprise baby, I would have just as much love for that baby. But it's nothing we will be planning for. So I guess I can delete the bookmarked website that contains my ovulation calculator....! haha. Yes, a part of me wants to give the girls a lot of siblings so they can enjoy each other throughout the years and have large family gatherings.... but I think the Lord has bigger plans.

I read a quote today and had to share it:

"The worst feature of a new baby is it's mother's singing." (Kin Hubbard)

Hahaha. That made me laugh. Many, many times, I think "poor child" while I am singing her to sleep. haha. It's a good thing they don't know what the song is supposed to sound like!

BLOG NEWS
So, if you haven't noticed, I have been playing around with the blog. It has been quite enjoyable, actually, but I didn't realize how much time I could waste online trying to beautify it. But it's fun. I like how it looks now, but don't be surprised if it changes.... :)

WENATCHEE NEWS
Who knew that selling a house would COST so much money!?!? I suppose that what happens when you buy at the peak of the market and sell at the low of the market.... but man--- this SUCKS!

We have been looking online for homes in East Wenatchee. Yes, East Wenatchee. This is the area we will most likely be living in. Of course, if there is something better in Cashmere, then we will look at those as well, but we have found that we can get more for our money in East Wenatchee. We have found a few houses that we really like. We know it may be too early to be looking at homes, especially since we haven't sold our own house yet, but it is fun to look. Besides, some of the houses we like have been on the market for forever, so the probability of them still being there is pretty high.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Well, I have two prayer requests for you tonight....
The first.... Shawn's Grandma Cox. She is in the hospital tonight for some heart problems she was having. Apparently she has been having heart trouble and was on medication, unbeknownst to anyone else.... She had an EKG tonight but we have not heard the results yet. Please keep her in your prayers.

Second..... A good friend of mine that I went to high school with just had his first baby. (well, his wife did...) They are still in the hospital though because it has been discovered that his wife as placenta accreta. This is where the placenta attaches itself to another organ in the body (in her case, her uterus) and it has to be surgically removed. The did not discover this until it was time for her to push out the placenta. If they are not able to get it to detach on it's own, they will have to surgically remove it and often times it is impossible to do without having to do a hysterectomy and removing the uterus. This condition happens in 1 in every 2500 pregnancies and 75% of those cases were in women who have had 2 or more previous C-sections. So her case is super rare. Please keep their family in your prayers and pray for a safe recovery. Personally, I couldn't imagine having to have a hysterectomy after only having one child. Their names are Jeff, Emily and baby Samuel.

Well, I am going to go hit the hay sack. The last few mornings I have NOT wanted to get out of bed! I think the later sunrises are fantastic because they make the girls sleep longer, which means I sleep longer, BUT, it DOES make it harder to get out of bed at normal time since it's still dark out! I like to sleep till the sun come up at least! Oh, and the fact that it is absolutely FREEZING in our house in the early morning (65 degrees!) makes it that much harder to get out of bed! But I don't want to turn the heater on just yet because then I will be too hot!! Oh, the woes of being a woman..... I guess I will just have to remember to pull out the 'winter' blankets!

Goodnight everyone.... have a blessed Wednesday!
