This is quite a long blog. I realized I have really updated you on othe girls other than what we've been doing....
I have been learning quite a bit about Hannah lately.
She has a foot fettish. If your feet are on the ground, look out! She will attack! She loves to fondle them, tickle them, eat them, smack them, throw up on them....
*sidenote* I'm not sure if anyone watched the season on the Bachelorette with Tanner, the guy that had the foot fettish (he was on Jillian's season)..... Hannah reminds me of him. Hmmmm..... I hope she gets over her love of feet or hides it really well because that guy was a bit obsessed and creepy about feet. haha
The last week or so, I have noticed something about Hannah while I sing her to sleep. She likes Hymns. I have a particular order I sing my songs while rocking the girls to sleep:

So during the Hymn, Hannah always gets relaxed and closes her eyes, falling asleep shortly after. I thought, "well duh, I've been singing to her for 5 minutes" But I have been testing it and putting that song in different places of my order and the same thing happens no matter where in the order I sing it. Amazing. I wonder if she just feels an ever present presence of the Lord beside her during the song? Then last night I tried to think of other Hymns to sing and my mind was going blank. Either it was because it was 2:00 in the morning or I just need to go to church more to refresh my memory! haha. Although I listen to KLOVE everyday, they don't play too many hymns, so I will have to pull out some CD's to remember some. Then I will experiment some more.....
Hannah has been sleeping through the night. She has been falling asleep at 9:00 and getting up at 6:30, eats and goes back to sleep until 10. It's super nice. Although last night, she did wake up, but fell right back to sleep after 5 minutes of rocking her. I changed her diaper also and it was super full, so I think we should start her on an overnight diaper. (sorry, random thinking aloud... or with my hands?)
Speaking of diapers.... (in case you care) Hannah has officially moved up a size, leaving KaeLee in the dust! It'll be no time at all before they are wearing the same size of clothes. I am quite confused as to how to store their clothes when they DO start wearing the same size..... in who's room do I store what? I guess I will just have to cross that battle when it comes. I have a feeling it will be next summer. Both in 2T. KaeLee is starting to wear some 24 month shirts, but only about a third of her 18 month pants fit, otherwise she still fits into about a third of her 12 months pants.... It really makes dressing her interesting. And the cute little outfits are no longer an option to buy since she would not be able to wear it as an outfit. Poor thing. Hannah, in the mean time, has moved up to 9 months.
Hannah has been bringing back bad memories from my memory bank with KaeLee. The things you tend to forget about. You see... Hannah has started eating solids and does quite well at it. But she spits. Not just a little. A lot. All over your clothes, your arms, and yes, your face. UGH. I remember now how much I HATED feeding times with KaeLee. She was a spitter also. (aren't ALL kids?) But I don't remember it happening so early. Oh, how I hope the next 6 months fly by for that reason only. (well, I could probably think of a few others, but will spare you!)
I do have to say that even though it is NOT COOL and makes me very upset, there is a SLIGHT (ever so slight!) cuteness to it. Her lips purse up and her already chunky cheeks puff out and get twice as big as they already are! haha. It's kinds cute. I will have to take a picture of it. Another not-so-cute reason for the spitting is that KaeLee has started to copy her. NOT COOL!
I am convinced that Hannah is going to be our couch potato. First off, she loves to eat! Second, she LOVES watching TV! Especially Barney. It is hilarious to watch her when you turn it on. She doesn't even need to see it to know what it is. Sounds pretty pathetic and sounds like I just stick her in front of the TV all day, but I swear the only shows they watch are Sesame Street and Barney. KaeLee really only watches Barney and she is in and out of the room during Sesame Street. I'm pretty sure she could take it or leave it. I wonder if it is because we didn't really introduce TV shows to her till she was about a year old. With Hannah, she has been exposed to it her whole life. I wonder if there are any studies done about this?? Hmmmm....
KaeLee's latest trick is sitting on the edge of the chair and saying "Ready? Ready? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10!" and slides off. Haha. It's quite hilarious. And cute. Since most of the time she doesn't say all the numbers in order. She started off by just counting to three. "1,2,3.... Weeeeeee!!" But now she just keeps going. Sometimes she doesn't slide off and just starts counting again. She sure keeps me in suspense of when she's actually going to slide off.
She has been becoming more adventurous and experimenting with new abilities. She now attempts to climb up the crib in order to say "mornin' Hannah!" Hannah responds with her signature gasp and a smile from ear to ear. She loves her sister! It's super cute! She has also been trying to climb up into her highchair. She gets to a certain point and gets stuck. She whines, "help you, help you, help you" until you come to her rescue. She is still working on the difference between you and me apparently. She says 'help you' because we always ask her "do you want me to help you?" It's pretty cute though.
I am sure there are a million other stories and cute things they say and do that I could share, but my mind is a whirlwind right now. Perhaps it's because I'm only going on 3 hours of sleep. After Hannah woke up last night I was not able to get back to sleep for the life of me. Ugh. I hate it when that happens!
Well, this weekend I am hoping to get some more stuff done around the house. Shawn rented a storage unit, so he has been making daily trips after work to drop stuff off. I almost have the office done. That is the hardest room in the house. Not only is it the office, it is also the scrapbook room, the gift wrapping room, the gift storage room and the if-you-don't-know-where-to-put-it-put-it-here room. haha. I think everyone must have a room like that, right?
I have been packing boxes of things to 'GET RID OF!' and stcking them up for Shawn to make a trip to the donation station. But he has informed me that we are having a moving sale. Uh, WHAT? A moving sale? In October. Hmmm.... sure, why not stick something else on my to-do list? I don't think he knows what a giant job this entails. If we have a moving sale, the only whay I will do it is CHEAP! No labeling anything, just do everything for a dollar or stuff a bag for 2 bucks. A lot of advertising for CHEAP QUALITY stuff! Hmmm..... not looking forward to it. And I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be super warm out where I'm gonna wanna sit outside all day..... oh yeah - and the fact that I work every Saturday during October. Anyway... moving on.
I also finally went through my closet and purged everything that doesn't fit. Sad day. I officially have no clothes left! I showed Shawn all my empty hangers and he made some casual comment about how I can't go out and fill them back up. HA! What else are they good for? They can't just sit all lonely and useless. While he is out hunting next week, my mom and I have a trip to Tri-Cities.... where a JCPenny conveinantly resides..... muahahahahahaha...... :)
Mmmmmm..... Taco soup is in the slow cooker today for dinner....! YUM-O! If you failed to read my last blog, you would not know that crock pot dinners are one of my favorites during Fall!!
Well, I should probably go get something to eat for breakfast.... I'm sure my stomach is about to wake the girls up from 15 miles away, it's growling that loudly. Have a great weekend everyone!
