Busy Busy Weekend....!

So, sitting here at work, I was trying to figure out what I am going to do after work.... and I'm llike Crap! We are too busy today to do anything.... I'll have to do it tomorrow.... then I was like Crap! Tomorrow is even busier! So, I guess these things will have to wait till next weekend.... haha.

The house looks like crap and is beginning to look good all at the same time! Since Shawn has been working nights all week and working out in the yard during the mornings, the house has gone to Hell in a handbasket. It's so hard to get anything done around the house for me when I am home alone with the girls. It seems like when I work on the weekends, Shawn gets a lot of stuff done during the day, but I'm not sure how he does it. I think he must stick the kids in the closet and leave them there all day so he won't be bothered and can actually get something done.

Or maybe I just play with the girls more. I feel like 80% of my day is spent on the floor, rolling around with Hannah while KaeLee is trying to use me as a human trampoline. The other 20%, I am putting Hannah to sleep, feeding one of them, or changing a diaper. During nap, if I am so lucky that they sleep at the same time, I am able to eat some lunch, pay a few bills and maybe pick up the toys. Maybe. But beyond that, nothing gets done. I don't think I am cut out to be a stay at home mom or a homekeeper..... Shawn seems to do much better at this balancing act. And no matter how much I try to entertain KaeLee, play with her, and give her the best snacks, she always ends up cheering louder for Shawn when he gets home at night. Then, the rest of the evening it is as though I have kept her under a rock all day in punishment and Daddy is her knight in shining armor that swoops in to rescue her. Whatever. At least she pretends to like me during the day, when I'm all she's got. I have a feeling that won't last long though once she has Hannah to constantly play with her. She will have absolutley no use for me then.... (poor me....!) At least Hannah loves me and prefers me (for now)!

Hannah is sure making me get some pretty ripped arms. Her chunkiness is really making me strong! All she ever wants to do is bounce on you. I try to put her in her jumperoo when she's like this, but apparently it's not the same. Mommy must do it better! haha. She gives me quite the workout. Yesterday, we went to a wedding. By "we" I mean me and the girls since Shawn is on nights this week. Yup. He got himself out of yet another wedding.

Well, we were running a bit behind and got there with one minute to spare (turned out it was more like 20 minutes, since they started so late....) and I was one of the very last cars, which meant we got the furthest parking spot! Ugh. I was lugging the diaper bag, Hannah in the carseat and started holding KaeLee's hand while she walked. I quickly realized that with where we were parked, this would take us 35 mintues to walk to the wedding, so I scooped KaeLee up and lugged a good 85 pounds across the parking lot and across the garden. My dad's cousin, Di, must have felt sorry for me because she saw me and came running. When she got to us, KaeLee instantly took a liking to her and went to her immediately. Her husband, Ken, took Hannah and we headed to the ceremony. Ahhh.... relief in the arms again! We sat next to them during the wedding and KaeLee and Hannah both had heads turning from everyone, of course, with how cute they are.

**A sidenote**
Ken and Di Paulus. Ken is my dad's cousin and Di is his wife. They have always been two of my favorite people at Beaudry family get togethers. They are genuinely great, caring people and when my parents were married, they were great friends of my mom. Every time I see them, they still always ask about my mom and how she's doing. I love them! Anyway, they live in East Wenatchee and I told them about our moving and they both lit up. It was great news to them. I am pretty excited about it actually since I forgot they lived up there. Before the end of the night, we exchanged all of our information and I look forward to giving them a call after we get all settled in up there. It will be great to know yet another family there. And the fact that the girls were so in love with Di made it even nicer. And her son, Brian, and his girlfriend were there, whom KaeLee also took quite the liking to.

Anyway, sorry for the tangent. The wedding, by the way, was my Uncle Roger (my dad's brother). He lives in Maine (or maybe Baltimore now?? hmmmm....) He was marrying Rhonda. They're story is pretty cool, actually. Rhonda was my Aunt's best friend since grade school, and had actually babysat Roger a few times. My Aunt Debbie was killed in a car accident in 1998. I was a freshman in high school. She was on her way out to the cemetary in Moxee to visit her daughter's gravesite (who died when she was just a baby... 5 months old, I believe.... she would have been the smae age as me.) She hit black ice, crashed and was killed instantly. This was an unbelievably hard time, you could imagine. She was a single mom of three boys. They're ages then were something like 16, 13 and 10? Something like that. Well, Rhonda and Roger (who had always been kinda-friends through Debbie) met up again at Aunt Debbie's funeral and reconnected and have slowly been growing in their relationship since. So, through telling their story and sharing stories of Aunt Debbie a lot also last night, it was quite a tearful event for everyone. But like it was said last night.... I am sure my Aunt Debbie would have been thrilled to have her best friend become her sister-in-law.

The girls were on their best behavior last night, which was super nice. There were lots of "little people" for her to play with. She really attached to Madison, a 9 year old girl (daughter of my dad's cousin, I believe) They held hands and went walking EVERYWHERE! She had that entire garden covered! (oh, the wedding was at Cascade Gardens.... an ex-nursery. It's beautiful!) Layla, my sister's daughter (who just turned 3) was pretty attched to KaeLee. So, KaeLee chased after Madison (who was chasing after Anna... 7 year old, daughter of my cousin...), and Layla chased after KaeLee. It was fun to watch. Every time someone picked KaeLee up, Layla would say "put her down. I want to play with her." haha. It was pretty funny. Anyway, we had a great time. I would have had some really cute pictures but I grabbed the camera out of the diaper bag to take some pictures, and Shawn had not put the memory card back in the camera! (I was quite angry, to say the least...) I know that Megan, my second cousin took some pictures, so I will have to steal them from her facebook once she posts them...

Well, I am at work, and am pretty behind, so I should probably get going. I will post more later.
