Church

Well we tried a new church today!  I was pretty excited about this one just from their website and my expectations we exceeded!  They did not have a traditional service today, but had guests!  These guests were the Ugandan Children's Choir.  They were so good and I loved every minute of it.  They sang and danced and were amazing.  You could really see the JOY that they had in their hearts and how much they really loved Jesus!  It was very touching.

The first (and only other) church we tried out was a fabulous, brand-new building, and looked great!  Despite the large new building though, the congregation was very small.  No problem, really, but it seemed that they were missing a generation.  Ours.  There were a lot of older people (fine by us, of course!), and there were a lot of high school aged kids, and their parents, but they were missing ANYONE between the ages of 20-35 (maybe even 40!).  We liked everything about the church but we just felt like we needed to be surrounded by at least SOME people our own age, ideally who have young children! :)

When we walked into this church, we were surrounded by people in their 20's and 30's.  And the amount of children under the age of 4 were endless!  It was amazing!  So not only were we blessed with the children of Uganda today, we were also blessed to be surrounded by young families.  In the nursery, we were made so welcomed and were engaged in lots of conversations and were even invited to a "big" small group tonight.  They are having a get together with about 4 of the small groups tonight and we were invited.  I am not sure if we are going yet or not.  One lady said she would e-mail me the information today.  I am not sure what type of small groups they are, if there is childcare, or if it's more of a family get together..... so we will see.  But I was grateful for the invite and we are excited to try there again next week to see an actual normal service.  And Shawn has made friends already with a couple of gentlemen who are also involved in orcharding.  I had, at one point, to practically tear him away so that we could take KaeLee to her new classroom....!

The girls quite enjoyed it as well.  KaeLee, I think, just read books for the most part is what it sounded like..... haha.  That girl and books.... I swear! And Hannah's teachers said (as usual!) that she is the happiest baby ever!  That always makes a mama proud!  Although, it's kinda sad....... when we were dropping KaeLee off, there was another boy who did NOT want his mama to leave.  I was trying to say goodbye to KaeLee and she forgets your even there and is focused on all the new toys in front of her.  haha.  She could care less that we were leaving..... :(  And Hannah started crying when I was putting her in the car.  Apparently she didn't want to leave either.....!  Whatever.  Maybe someday my kids will love me and want to spend time with me.... haha.
