I love March. It is the beginning of Spring, my second favorite season. Or, at least it's supposed to be Spring! But the snowfall outside is telling me differently. And speaking to my brother last night who is in Pullman, the snow was covering his calves and some of the girls he walking by had it up to their knees. This is not spring! One thing I dislike most about spring though, is the WIND! My goodness have we had enough to last the rest of the year!
March is going to be a busy busy month!! Hannah's party is Saturday! (YAY!) Sunday we move, Monday we clean our house, Tuesday we begin to unpack, Wednesday is Hannah's Birthday, Thursday we come back to Yakima for her one year appointment...... then my mom and I leave for San Francisco on the 17th. We fly back on the 22nd and have the Menopause Musical that evening at the Capital Theatre. (YAY!)................... we will be in a new house, a new city, with a new job......... This is the month that we knew would take our life for a ride, and it has arrived!
One thing I am happy that won't EVER change is that God is with you WHEREVER you go! I know this seems silly, but with so much changing, it's nice to know that He will never change. In fact, I am confident that He has gone before us and prepared our place for us and is there waiting to welcome us. Today is day 8 of the 150 Days of Praise that I been doing and this means psalm 8.
It reminds me of the song by Lincoln Brewster (my favorite version) "How Majestic Is Your Name". I think I like this verse best in The Message:
"God, brilliant Lord,
your name echoes around the world."
your name echoes around the world."
Psalms 8:9
Everything God makes and does is brilliant! I read somewhere once (paraphrasing, since I cannot remember it word for word), "God does not look for great men and women to do his work, but rather men and women who can show His greatness through them". God IS great and if we are truly living for Him, others will be able to see that greatness through us. We all have weaknesses, but when we humble ourselves to realize that, it is then that the Lord can work through us and let His grace and glory shine through.
Also, this psalm is quick to remind me that of all the brilliant things the Lord has made. The amazing thing is that the same God who created those brilliant things on earth, dwells INSIDE of us. What does this mean? Well, just think of all the brilliant things He can create with YOU! Simply Amazing.
Anyway, here are just a few pictures to make your heart smile.... I know these girls always make me smile (alright, so maybe "always" is a bit of an exaggeration....)
KaeLee has been loving being allowed to "feed" Hannah her afternoon bottle. She feels like the biggest girl ever!
Hannah got to play with playdough for the first time! And boy did she love it!
KaeLee quite enjoys it too! :)
KaeLee and her attempted caterpillar..... (okay, maybe it's mama's attempt....haha. A sad one at that!)
The royal treatment! KaeLee was too busy grunting while pushing to smile..... haha
Hannah loves to climb in any tub she can find.... and there are a lot of them while we are packing!
A basket will work too!
KaeLee having fun with her puzzles
